Bean Goose

The bean goose (Anser fabalis) breed in northern Eurasia and is a migratory bird that winters in scattered locations in Europe, Russia, China, Turkey, Iran, Korea and Japan. It has been observed in Canada, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Mali and the Azores and Iceland.

Pink-footed Goose

The Pink-footed Goose (Anser brachyrhynchus) breed in Greenland, Svalbard, mainly in Spitzbergen and Iceland, especially in Hofsjökull-glacial catchment. The Pink-footed Goose is a migratory bird, and joins with other geese species during migration. Their winter range is located in the UK and Ireland, in Belgium and the Netherlands, northern Germany's coastal areas and in Denmark.

The Egyptian goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca) is native to Africa south of the Sahara and the Nile Valley.

Red-breasted goose

The red-breasted goose (Branta ruficollis) breed in Arctic Siberia, mainly on the Taymyr Peninsula, with smaller populations in the Gydan and Yamal peninsulas. Most winter along the northwestern shores of the Black Sea in Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine (occasionally moving further southwest to Greece), but some winter in Azerbaijan.

The lesser white-fronted goose (Anser erythropus) breeds in northernmost Asia, but it is a scarce breeder in Europe. There is a re-introduction scheme in Fennoscandia.

The Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis) is a migratory bird and has for a long time only been nesting in arctic regions such as Greenland, Svalbard and Novaya Zemlya. Since the 1970s the bird also nests in some places in Scandinavia, and today there are the breeding bird in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. In winter the goose occurs along the coasts of north western Europe.

White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) live in the arctic regions of Europe and Asia and North America and the southern tip of Greenland.

Canada Goose

The Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) original range are Canada, Alaska and northern U.S. They move south in winter to the United States and Mexico.
By repopulation, there is now a large population in Europe and also in New Zealand.

Brant Goose

The Brent goose (or Brant Goose) (Branta bernicla)  breeds circumpolar on islands and near the sea coasts of the arctic tundra in Europe, Asia and North America. It is a migratory bird that winters along the coasts of the Atlantic, North Sea and the Pacific.

Greylag Geese (Anser anser) breed in large parts of northern and central Palearctic. It is found from Iceland to the west, eastward through northern Europe, Scandinavia, the Balkans, east through Siberia to China.
