Violet-green Swallow

The violet-green swallow (Tachycineta thalassina) is distributed along the west coast from Alaska to Mexico, extending as far east as Montana and Texas.




Barn Swallow

The Barn Swallow (Hirundo rustica) breeds across much of the northern hemisphere as far south around Hong Kong and winters in tropical regions in the Southern Hemisphere in South America, Africa, India, Southeast Asia and north-western Australia.

House Martin

The House Martin  (Delichon urbicum) is a migratory bird that breeds in Europe, North Africa and the temperate parts of Asia and winters in sub-Saharan Africa and tropical Asia.

The Swift's (Apus apus) breeding range extends over the Palearctic region. During the winter of the northern hemisphere, the Swift is found between Equatorial Africa and South Africa.

The red-rumped swallow (Cecropis daurica)  breeds in open hilly country of temperate southern Europe and Asia from Portugal and Spain to Japan, India and tropical Africa. The Indian and African birds are resident, but European and other Asian birds are migratory. They winter in Africa or India and are vagrants to Christmas Island and northern Australia.
